litrature...then and now

if shake-spear were writing today ,using same structures tat he used in writing his sonnets...or as he used in king James court..his sonnets would not have been accepted by the contemporary magazines published today.A very true fact ..language-the way we use to express our selves, is changing and evolving itself by the time, time has always been a major factor regarding growth and development of our humanity..then y shud literature be left over.
We are in a time of change and language is changing with our times. Literary expression will naturally change too.
Literature is like a mirror.it reflects the present status quo of the society, its becuz of this we were able to understand the operation of society in past like Renaissance, the Enlightenment, the Romantics, and even today, literature portrays social phenomena, politics or new ideologies.

Texting - started with Chats and Messeging - now with cell phones. All new technologies which are changing the way we use language. Well, "new" for me and you, perhaps. For the young, it is the way they are learning to express themselves to each other, and they are the poets of our future. I can see this making English teachers crazy. But we are watching a tide of change in the way language is used. (to, too, two) = 2 and "brb" = "I will be right back" - with meanings derived from context - almost like an "algebra" of communication.
